The world is ending.
Is anyone else worried about the NOT passing of the bailout bill? Does anyone else find it strange that the DOW dropped over 700 points as soon as the bill was NOT passed? Ironic? I don't think so. I think, that shows that American citizens WANTED the bill to be passed. Is it perfect? Of course not. Is it the 100% absolute answer? no way. But is it better than doing NOTHING? DUH! And shouldn't it say something to us that the EU passed a similar bailout OVERNIGHT? That's over 20 governments agreeing on a bill (granted not nearly as much as the proposed 700 billion in the US) overnight! Because they know its VITAL to avoid a complete total spin out! We are screwed!!!!! The WHOLE world. The BOVESPA in Brazil fell 10%. In Hong Kong it fell 4%. ETC ETC ETC. This is really frustrating. Why would a bill like this NOT be passed. People really must be dumb. dumb dumb dumb.

I blame the Republican, but then again I blame them for everything:)
But seriously, even as someone who works in financial investments, I'm glad that they are taking time and doing their due dilligence on this bill. These people truly were incredibly irresponsible, and even if we bail them out in the end, I want to see them sweat a little first.
I'm not too worried as I think ultimately it will be taken care of. Bush tends to motivate by fear (ie. wmd's in Iraq), and I'm grateful that people aren't being completely persuaded by that.
Kris!! Is it true?! Are you really coming back? You said mid September in that post down there. What's the deal now? email me and tell me all about it. Right now! Come home!! I love you!!! Mariss

It was not just the republicans but the dems too. They are all in it. And the greedy executive. And the American people for over spending and not saving enough and for being DUMB enough to buy homes they could not afford.
So now a week and a half after the bill was passed the stock market is DOWN A WHOOPING 20% in one week!! Guess the market did not like the bill too much.
Brace yourself younguns. We are in for tough times. Toughest in my life-and your-I think.
